Mekdes

"A wild vocalist," "Boss in own shop," "An obvious natural talent" – that's how the glowing praises sounded when Mekdes received the prestigious P3 Gold Talent Award in 2021. At the beginning of 2022, she released her debut album, once again affirming that the young singer, songwriter, and producer from Kolding is beyond the ordinary.

Since 2018, Mekdes has been consistently releasing singles. She is the woman behind hits like 'In Favor of You,' 'Lonely,' 'Hanging Upside Down,' and 'Greedy.'

It's no wonder that she was nominated for a DMA (Danish Music Awards) for the New Live Act of the Year in 2020, and in 2022, Mekdes was once again nominated for a DMA for Producer of the Year for her debut album.

Alongside her releases, Mekdes has toured Denmark extensively, culminating in a sold-out concert at the legendary venue Vega in Copenhagen at the end of 2022.

Since then, Mekdes has not been idle. She spent four months in London writing new music and is featured on the massive hit "Føles Godt" with Uro, which has grown to become one of the biggest Danish hits of the year 2023.

In early 2024, Mekdes participates in the TV show "Toppen af Poppen," and the rest of the year promises a lot of new music and concerts.
