Blaue Blume

Blaue Blume is regarded as one of Denmark’s best live bands. Time and again, the band manages to blow audiences away with their exceptional blend of massive sonic shoegaze landscapes, hard-hitting post-rock passages, and light, floating melodic pop songs. They strike the perfect balance between melodic simplicity and euphoric grandeur, earning a slew of rave reviews for both their concerts and album releases.

In April 2024, Blaue Blume ushered in a new era with their Danish-language single ‘Det er din kærlighed’ (‘It’s Your Love’), which received massive radio airplay. Later that year, it was followed by ‘Følsom dreng’ (‘Sensitive Boy’) and ‘Det husker jeg’ (‘I Remember That’). In November, the band played their biggest concerts to date at Falkonersalen in Copenhagen and ACC in Aarhus, captivating sold-out audiences and earning rave reviews from both Jyllands-Posten and Gaffa.

The band has just released the single ‘Smilet kommer nemt’ (‘The Smile Comes Easily’), leading up to their third album, ‘Regnvåde sale’ (‘Rain-Soaked Halls’), which is set for release next week on Friday, January 31. This will mark the trio’s first Danish-language album.

On this tour, the new album will naturally take center stage, but there’s little doubt Blaue Blume will find room for some audience favorites from their back catalog.

Blaue Blume consists of Jonas, Buster, and Søren, three impressively creative forces who have left a significant mark on Danish culture.

Vocalist Jonas Holst Schmidt starred in 2023’s acclaimed independent film ‘København findes Ikke’ (‘Copenhagen Does Not Exist’) and has recently completed filming Jeppe Rønde’s upcoming feature film ‘Acts of Love’, where Jonas once again plays the male lead.

Drummer Søren Buhl Lassen has earned widespread praise and accolades as a songwriter and producer over the past year, including a Danish Music Award nomination for Producer of the Year 2024. Søren has contributed to producing and writing albums for artists such as Guldimund, Brimheim, and Saveus, as well as the radio hit ‘Lyse Nætter’ (‘Bright Nights’) by Barselona.

Guitarist Buster Jensen, a multi-instrumentalist, has performed live with Guldimund and Brimheim and co-written and recorded several songs for Brimheim’s album ‘Ratking’. Additionally, Buster composes film scores, and together with Jonas, he created the soundtrack for the feature film ‘Glasskår’ (‘Shards of Glass’), set to premiere in the fall of 2024.
