Nana Jacobi is renowned for being a mesmerizing and audience-engaging live performer. She takes the stage with a dynamic and powerful live band backing her, delivering both high-energy, danceable moments and more intimate, engaging interactions with her audience.
The song ‘Hold Dit Hjerte Blødt’ (Hold Your Heart Soft), released with Annika Aakjær and Jeanett Albeck featuring, has been dubbed "a modern classic" and naturally features on the setlist, alongside other major songs from Jacobi's recent catalog, including those from film and TV soundtracks.
"Nana Jacobi at the SPOT Festival 2023 was an out-of-body experience – an event where she once again affirmed her status as a star artist and musician." Bands of Tomorrow 2023.
"Throughout the 35 minutes, there are constant surprises. Nothing remains static. The audience is on the journey. They are at the heart of it all." GAFFA 2023.
Jacobi has released five albums and an EP under her own name, as well as creating music and songs for films and TV. With the album 'Magnet Sky' (2021) and 'Elvira Sange' (Elvira Songs) (songs for the TV series Elvira, Viaplay 2022), Jacobi truly captured a larger audience. She started 2023 off strong; on the cover of Denmark's largest music magazine GAFFA.
At the SPOT Festival the same year, she delivered one of the concerts that became 'talk of the town', showered with stars by enthusiastic reviewers. Later that year, she was awarded membership in the 'Danish Rock Academy' with the words: "Lifetime membership awarded in recognition of the contribution and significance you have had for the development of music and musical life in Denmark."
Nana Jacobi had her breakthrough years ago with the song 'Open Sky' from the film 'En Kort, En Lang' (A Short, A Long). A song that achieved something of an evergreen status on P4, and still gets airplay to this day. Additionally, Nana Jacobi is known as co-founder and director of the music project HUN SOLO - a concert company and label for women and gender minorities in Danish music. Furthermore, Jacobi is an active voice in Denmark's public debate landscape.
