Odense Jazz Orchestra with huge children's choir from Kolding

Music brings joy. Especially when creating and experiencing music together with others. That opportunity is given to a number of school classes in Kolding when we invite them to a huge choir concert. Here we hear the story of the girl Yasmin, who has to choose whether she wants to go with her mother to a yoga retreat or with her father and his big band on tour. She chooses the latter, of course. On Yasmin's holiday school schedule, there is therefore jazz, rock and roll, and more, delivered by the huge Odense Jazz Orchestra and a massive children's choir from Kolding under the direction of Anders Møller. Together, they take us all on a musical journey through the jazz landscape and teach us a lot about wild instruments and the joy of creating music. Come and give yourself and the children an unforgettable experience in the world of music.

About the project: Educational project for children in 4th-6th grade
The combination of high artistic quality and the willingness to take responsibility for the local environment and society as a natural part of its existence should be the platform for creating a new, sustainable educational initiative. For many years, the Odense Jazz Orchestra has focused on actively conveying art and culture to children and young people. Not least because it is important to create qualified, rhythmic music with an educational angle for children and young people. But also to link culture with learning. We need something to share, which also benefits us in a busy and stressed everyday life.

For several years, the Odense Jazz Orchestra has had a Kahoot project as the focal point for its educational work. In this concert, Kahoot focuses on the small everyday problems and the girl JAZZmin, who learns a lot about a big band and its musicians and instruments.
