In the wake of a fall filled with sold-out concerts, a current single, and an upcoming album release, Østen now announces his biggest tour yet in April 2025.
Since Østen released his first single, 'Regn', in January 2024, the Aarhus-based singer and songwriter has had a busy year. His debut received positive attention from several leading media outlets and currently has more than 2 million streams on Spotify. In September Østen released his third single, 'Sang Til Min Mor': a song about being overwhelmed by the darkest emotions and confronting life's transience, with a production that is powerful, grand, and beautiful. At the same time, Østen announced that his highly anticipated debut album, 'Daylight', will be released on October 25th.
Østen debuted as a headliner in April with a sold-out concert at Ideal Bar. In the same month, he announced fall concerts in Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Odense, with the first two now sold out.
The upcoming spring tour is his biggest to date, and according to the Soundvenue reviewer’s statement from his packed concert at this year's SPOT Festival in May, audiences can expect a major live experience:
"Something big is on the horizon for Østen. And for the rest of us. That became clear at midnight on Friday at Spot Festival, where he presented songs from his debut album, which will be released later this year. Songs that already made such a strong impression on first listen that you carried them with you through the night." ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ – Soundvenue
On stage, Østen has brought together some of the country’s most talented musicians. In addition to Malthe Rostrup on keys and bass, who also plays with Jada, he has Maiken Thunbo on cello, Anders Skadhede on guitar, and Laurtis Eriksen on drums.
Before launching his solo career, Østen worked behind the scenes as a songwriter and, in collaboration with producer Frederik Thaae, contributed to popular releases like Artigeardit's 'Længe Leve' and Barselona's 'Væbnet Hjerte'.
