With "All Roads Lead Home," the Danish songwriter Malte Ebert has created an album that unfolds as a coming-of-age story about a person finding themselves. Now, Malte and his band are pulling the tour bus out of the garage for a venue tour around the country.
It's rare for debutants to come with as much experience as Malte Ebert. He already has several hits and awards to his name, both solo and with his satirical alter ego, Gulddreng. Now, Malte Ebert has released his debut album, which will also be featured on the setlist for the upcoming tour.
"This is the album I've been waiting for and dreaming of since I started writing songs. The title revolves around finding one's home in life. Your twenties are about sorting through and navigating all the opportunities you get. For me, there have been many detours, but they have all made me wiser about where I want to stand. Being able to express myself and my emotions. I've found that joy and connection again," says Malte Ebert.
At 30 years old, Malte Ebert has been writing songs since he bought a guitar as a boy, saving up by delivering newspapers. In 2016, he broke through with the satirical character Gulddreng, whose first seven singles topped the charts and won numerous awards. As a Danish-language solo artist, he has written million-streaming songs such as 'Kun med dig', 'Kalde Dem for du' for Queen Margrethe II, and 'Julehjertets hemmelighed'. In 2024, in addition to the lead single from the album "Tell Me If You Want Something Else," he had hits with two singles that both went gold – first 'Mindst ondt' with Svea S, then 'Kongen af Danmark'.
Alongside his releases, Malte has experimented with concert formats, starting with "Mellem himmel og Jord" in collaboration with Nikolaj Cederholm, and more recently with "Gennemsnitsdansker," which received six stars in Gaffa – drawing on techniques from the world of theater. He has also performed on some of Denmark's largest festival stages. But this time, it's Malte and his band inviting audiences to concerts promising memorable nights:
"At the beginning of 2026, my entire band and I will tour the country's venues and hold concerts featuring all your favorite songs. In recent years, we've experimented a lot, and I've grown immensely with theatrical formats, but now I dream of playing concerts with guitar solos, big songs, and the coolest band. And it's happening at the beginning of 2026 – I'm lucky! Thank you for listening and coming to the concerts. I'm so excited to perform for you."
