Nordic Christmas with DR Big Band

No Christmas without jazz! Together with the magnificent musicians from the DR Big Band and the fantastic host Lisbeth Wulff, known to many as both an author and, notably, an actress from TV series such as Borgen and the satire program I hegnet, we embark on a magical and immersive musical journey towards the north, rediscovering the sound of Nordic Christmas - both past and present. This year's Christmas concert awaits you with enchanting Christmas music that we all know so well. However, you'll experience it in full blast and in a festive and jazzy package, accompanied by both small and grand Christmas tales. The band's musicians have selected some of their favorite Nordic Christmas melodies, which they simply couldn't resist and have unfolded in colorful, cool, and quirky jazz arrangements. So, the perfect Christmas atmosphere is sure to settle in at the Godset. Merry Nordic Christmas!

Lisbeth Wulff adds: Our Nordic Christmas is filled with traditions and melodies borrowed from other countries and cultures. Nevertheless, there exists a distinct, Nordic Christmas atmosphere that resonates in our shared Nordic 'sound.'

Afterparty and jam with NORDIC CURRENTS
As usual, Jazz6000 will host an afterparty in the small hall of the Godset after the Christmas concert with DR Big Band. This year's Christmas present is an exclusive intimate concert with the orchestra NORDIC CURRENTS, taking us all to a post-Christmas ball with four top-tuned musicians who will surely make the hall swing when they serve up the very best Danish jazz – perhaps even spiced with a Christmas song or two. It's going to be an amazing afterparty!

After the intimate concert, NORDIC CURRENTS invites everyone to a Christmas jam session, where it's definitely possible that musicians from DR Big Band will join in the fun. But everyone is welcome to participate in the musical festivities. The evening might even end with a little extra Christmas gift from Jazz6000...
