With their new album 'The Crescent King' hitting the streets on October 4, 2024, the death metal band LIVLØS is ready to visit Danish venues with explosive new material.

"Our album 'The Crescent King' is a conceptual journey through time and space, exploring the corners of the human psyche - told through ten magnificent and hard-hitting tracks."

The tour will feature the hyper-current Thus, recently victorious in the international Wacken Metal Battle, and 802, who have made waves on the Danish scene with their unique sound.

LIVLØS
The Danish death metal titans LIVLØS' triumphant ascent continues with the band's epic third full-length album, the concept album 'The Crescent King'. On this new record, the band continues to deliver their crushing style characterized by heavy grooves, melancholic melodies, and progressive musicality, all while unfolding a cosmological fantasy-inspired tale of 'The Crescent King' - a symbol of humanity, its psyche, and its cycle in the universe.

Since their inception in 2014, LIVLØS has proven to be a pioneering force in the international death metal scene. Following the release of their deeply personal debut album 'Into Beyond' (2018), which depicted a band facing significant personal battles, the band has only continued to grow, evident in both songwriting and technical prowess. With their second album 'And Then There Were None' (2021), released by Napalm Records, the band appeared even darker and more ambitious, resonating with both fans and critics alike.

After the release of 'And Then...', LIVLØS embarked on intensive touring, including a major sold-out headline show in Copenhagen, a European tour with Konvent and Implore, and a Danish headline tour, along with performances at Inferno Festival, Tallinn Music Week, and notably, the band's triumphant live highlight in front of 14,000 people at Copenhell in 2023. LIVLØS remained creative throughout, never missing an opportunity to write despite a busy touring schedule. By 2022, material for a new album was already written, and the band entered the studio, once again with producer Jacob Bredahl in Aarhus, Denmark, to record the new album.

Now, LIVLØS can finally present their third full-length album, the conceptual cosmic narrative 'The Crescent King'. Musically, the album testifies to a band constantly striving for development and delivering the best in terms of songwriting, technical prowess, and production value. While LIVLØS' hallmark heavy, death-metallic grooves, melancholic grand melodies, and progressive musicality still prevail, the music on 'The Crescent King' complements the ambitious concept, with prog elements now standing strong alongside traces of experimental dissonance, balancing the band's ear for majestic melodies.

Just as LIVLØS always balances its musical ambition and diverse inspirations into one cohesive vision, the band also clearly conveys its perspective on the thematic core - humanity. As in previous releases, our species, homo sapiens, is also the focus of the band's scrutiny on 'The Crescent King'. While the previous album 'And Then...' offered perspectives on life and death on multiple levels, written from a personal place of loss, grief, and diverging mental states, this time the band wanted to devise a fictional, conceptual work that casts a glance at the more general structures of the human condition, its psyche, and its place in the cosmic cycle of the universe.

Thus, 'The Crescent King' is a symbol of humanity in all its aspects, the good and the evil and everything in between. It is the tale of a king embarking on a journey through time and space, discovering the secrets about himself and humanity. But it is also a story of how a noble soul and its good intentions can be corrupted in the face of power, delusion, and despair. Stylistically, the existential space odyssey takes place in a fantasy-like, medieval scenario with a touch of Lovecraftian horror lurking in the shadows, complementing LIVLØS' complex yet undeniably captivating musical vision, as heard on 'The Crescent King'.

LIVLØS' third album 'The Crescent King' is produced by Jacob Bredahl (Lifesick, Eyes), mastered by Brad Boatright (Obituary, Suicide Silence, Gatecreeper, Nails), and features artwork by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Bloodbath, Kreator, Hate Eternal). The album will be released on LP/CD/Digital formats on October 4, 2024 via Noctum Productions and will be followed by extensive touring in Scandinavia and Europe.

As the last remnants of life on Earth face the sight of their old world buried in ashes, they feel both the blessing of being alive and the curse of bearing humanity's fate on their shoulders. Their only hope lies in their newly appointed king, who assures them of their survival. Under his guiding light, they travel through the cosmos to find a world where they can rise again.

But human hubris and self-destructive nature run deep, and when mere survival is no longer enough, the king succumbs to his greed and lust for power, slowly transforming from savior to tyrant. Like all realms and empires before this, his will also crumble and decay. The story of the king and humanity ends with him. Sitting back as the great conqueror on his cosmic throne. Lonely and alone.

Thus has only scratched the surface of what awaits from the band, and before you know it, they will be tearing venues and eardrums apart across the Danish land.

802
After releasing hip-hop beats with artists like Raekwon from Wu-Tang Clan and touring domestically and internationally under the moniker Slowolf, Andreas Asingh moved from Copenhagen to his childhood homeland of Djursland. Here, at the end of 2022, he meets Andreas Beck and Emil Sørensen, two long-haired boys from the heavy metal underground of Djursland. A connection is made from which something new MUST be created. Thus, the band 802 is born.

In a short time, 802 has crafted its own unique hazy sound of ghostly synths, bubblegum hooks, and edgy drum rhythms, all wrapped in a blanket of heavy metal distortion.

Their debut single 'My Girl' was released in March 2023 along with the short film '802 - A Heavy Metal Bedtime Story', directed by Casper Balslev, known for directing music videos for Iggy Pop, Alt-J, and MØ.
