You never really know what will happen. But one thing’s for sure—you’re in for an incredible musical experience when GinmanBlachmanDahl takes the stage at Godset. Each of these three jazz musicians is a visionary and innovative artist in their own right, and together they form Denmark’s unmatched power jazz trio. They’ve just released their third album, What's to Come! which exudes swing, timing, dexterity, and imagination. At Godset, just like on the album, you’ll experience a musical art form where every note, every chord, and every rhythm is created in the moment, born out of raw spontaneity and creative synergy. GAFFA awarded the album six stars, stating, “GinmanBlachmanDahl's new, improvised trio jazz is modern and distinctive. It swings. It’s lyrical. Dramatic. Demanding and captivating. Technically virtuosic. Artistically in a class of its own. Heavenly, simply.” So all we can say is: be ready for an unforgettable experience. Come join us!

Line-up:
Lennart Ginman: double bass
Thomas Blachman: drums
Carsten Dahl: piano

About the musicians:
Thomas Blachman is well known as a judge on X Factor but perhaps fewer people know that he has also been a professional drummer and producer for many years, working with artists like Kasper Winding and Caroline Henderson. As a drummer, he’s especially recognized for his work with the jazz group Page One. In 1994, Blachman fused jazz and hip-hop with rappers Al Agami and Remee on the album The Style and Invention Album, which won both the Danish Grammy Award for Best Danish Rap/Dance Release and Best Danish Jazz Release in 1995.

Carsten Dahl is considered one of the most innovative and improvisational Danish musicians and pianists today. He has contributed to over 300 recordings, won numerous awards, including the Ben Webster Prize and several Danish Music Awards, and has received high praise from critics worldwide.

Bassist Lennart Ginman has performed with artists like Dicte, Niels Skousen, and Nikolaj Nørlund throughout his career. He has also been a producer and has collaborated with Faroese artist Eivør, Steen Jørgensen, and Jimmy Jørgensen. He is known as the curator of the Summer Sessions at Vallekilde Folk High School for more than a decade and as a former music director at Copenhagen Jazzhouse.
