CAROLINE HENDERSON’S ONE-WOMAN SHOW 'MIT LIV SOM HUN' (MY LIFE AS SHE) RETURNS
In September, Caroline Henderson successfully premiered her new, personal one-woman show: 'Mit liv som Hun'. In the fall of 2025, the show will return with performances nationwide.

“‘Mit liv som Hun’ is a quirky storytelling journey about being a lady, a woman, a feminist—with both hands in the dishwater and a feather or two in her hat!”

In September 2024, Caroline Henderson presented her entirely new musical one-woman show, Mit liv som Hun. Based on stories from her life as a woman, the show is filled with personal anecdotes, comedic moments, and, of course, music, supported by bassist Ida Urd Bramming and guitarist Anna Roemer. With sold-out shows and limited tickets available in multiple venues, the initial run of 'Mit Liv som Hun' was a great success. The show also received praise from Politiken’s reviewer:
“Caroline Henderson’s musical self-portrait is both harsh, angry, tender, funny, and entertaining. (...)
On stage, dressed in a huge suit, she exudes a commanding calm and impressive ease, both personally and artistically. Her acting talent allows her to narrate life’s events in an engaging and lively way, and her powerful voice treats the audience to songs that illustrate her background, career journey, and central themes. But while it is very entertaining, it is also genuinely serious. (...)
The setup is tight, functional, and well-done. Henderson is wonderfully backed by bassist Ida Urd Damm Bramming and guitarist Anna Roemer, and Theis Wermuth’s lighting design effectively evokes both nightclub and lecture hall vibes. Genre-wise, we’re somewhere between cabaret and monologue. There are six wonderful musical numbers - from ‘Sakta vi gå genom stan’ to Nina Simone’s furious ‘Four Women,’ her own ‘Ain’t I a Woman,’ Joni Mitchell’s ‘Woman of Heart and Mind,’ as well as her classics ‘Efterår’ and ‘Made in Europe’ - from her pop career and her Cinemataztic album, respectively. But it is the spoken word that takes up most of the time, and it is absolutely excellent that way. She and it—hinting at Lasse Hallström’s film 'Mit liv som hund' (My Life as a Dog) - tell a good story that ends happily. Because if you’re lucky, you end up as a whole person embracing all roles.”

Over the years, Caroline Henderson has distinguished herself as one of the strongest voices in recent Danish music history, with a musical style inspired by jazz, blues, pop, and electronic sounds. Her résumé includes roles as both a singer and actress, performing on stage and screen in both Denmark and internationally. In recent years, she has been in the spotlight with popular Black Voices concerts, in 'Vikings: Valhalla' on Netflix, in grand musical productions like 'Natasja' and 'Cinderella', and in the critically acclaimed film 'Viften' (Empire), which won the 2023 Nordic Council Film Prize.
